I was always facinated while heping my father in his darkroom, but never really tried taking "photographs" as opposed to "snaps" (is there a difference?) until I bought a Canon Powershot S45 just after my second daughter was born, about 5 years ago.

I moved into the world of digital SLRs in May '08 when I bough a Canon 450D. I love it. I now need to scrimp and save for lenses of my own rather than relying on those on loan :-).

I'm still getting used to the flickr phenomenon. I can see that it could be addictive!
