"Don has the soul of a photographer and also the eye for it. He takes amazing nature shots that capture light in such a divine way, but what I really enjoy about his photography is whatever he captures, whether it's nature, still life or people, he truly captures their essence. Take the time to not just look...but "see" his people photos, you'll get a true sense of who these people are, even though he himself doesn't even know them. The really great thing is, it's not by accident, he "sees" them as well. Going through his photo stream is a truly moving experience that I personally enjoy whenever I possibly can.
Thank you Don for sharing so much beauty with all of us, and for all time you give to others!"

"I love seeing new pictures from Don in my contact list. I love the candid portraits he takes and his great nature photography. Since my recent dive back into the hobby, I try to look at Don's work to give me new ideas or perspectives to improve my own photography.

His comments are always appreciated and I look on him as a valued resource and instructor. He has certainly made my experience with Flickr much more enjoyable."

"I have a bad habit of not being able to say things short and sweet. I dont think i need to make an exception here since the person im talking about, i think deserves to be talked about a lot. Its one of those lucky days i stumbled upon two of my some of the closest friends in flickr, don and chris. I'm happy for this day since don was one of them. If you need to find pictures that have a heart and share a story and at the same point in time display the precision and skill of a rock solid hand, you NEED to be Don's contact on flickr. I have a lot of friends at flickr.. richard, gary, carlos who use the canon 5D's and don is one of them too. More often what i find is that the high end camera is not the cause but just a tool, the real picture lies in the eyes of the beholder. The way ppl like don see and shoot pictures, capture and make use of available light inspires me to the far extremes of life. It makes me pick up that tripod and camera bag and run around the East Coast Beach Road to hunt for locations to shoot or look up the city map for things to shoot.

Without people like don flickr i think would not be worth a crap despite the fact that there might be a hundred billion better pictures than don can shoot. Its the joy and essence of a life that don captures on his lens that makes the difference from other technically correct pictures you may find. You need to look at his stream of zoo pictures, the kids, the animals and the lovely women, there is no limit to the joy you derive from these moments captured. However this is not the stuff that makes things special about don, its his dedication and sincerity in visiting your stream and not forgetting to comment on each and every one of them that makes him special.

It is hard for one to find time for another in this chaotic world, yet its lifes best times when you can find ppl don who make it a point to spend time with you, your work and dedicate time to improve and collaborate at what you do....

This is the reason why he is important and special to me. I think i have said enough, so i guess i'll stop here to prevent this from lookin like a flattery session or worse a political campaign for an election :-P"
