I have 3 kids who are now all grown up (1 and actress/producer/author; 1 a musician who just signed a contract with a large record company and 1 still in school to be a chemical engineer) and I work at LSU-Health Sciences Center Shreveport; in the School of Medicine as a Professor and VIce Chair of the Department of Medicine. I am in the Hematology/Oncology section and currently I am the Acting Director of the Feist-Weiller Cancer Center. I am a Cancer researcher concentrating on new drug discovery and development and clinical and translational research.

I had been away from photography a long time until Flickr got me interested again. I had forgotten what I loved about it. The isolation of you and the camera and the image. You can lose yourself and all the worries, hassles, and stress and just be free! My love is landscape photography because of the isolation you can get. I also do Cityscapes and dabble in macro. I have a Canon 40D, XSi backup and a G9. Also just got an Olympus E-P1 to play with when I travel. Although my G9 is great this has such a larger sensor. Wonderful cameras and great images. I use Canon lenses: 70-300IS, the Canon 28-125IS and a Tokina 11-16 wide angle (love it). I also still occasionally use my Sony DSC-H9 and R1. Usually keep one in both of my cars for quick images.
