Silver surfer, approaching 80 years of age,not a geek but not quite a beginner. I have been interested in photography all my life without being any great talent, but I like looking at the talents of other cameramen...

I am housebound these days having spent the last three months in hospital with a lung problem - not caused by smoking! - which now keeps me permanently connected to an oxygen supply.

However, I do have my computer that enables me to get around the world. And I like to revisit places I have been to before, plus places I have never been to, thanks to the good offices of our old friend Google...

I have just introduced myself to Flickr, as a result of my son, Mark, convincing me that a little book I wrote should be published via Wordpress as part of a Blog.

The book is a report of a trip to the States Mark treated me to as a retirement present some years ago. He seemed to think that the book - which I wrote for him - was worth the examination of a few more eyes...!

Anyway, I am still playing around with how to get my travel pictures uploaded from Flickr to my Wordpress Blog to accompany the chapters of my book. So far, I haven't worked out how to do this. But I'll get there...
