I'm kind of lazy, and I just shoot pictures and stick them up on Fickr without any consideration of how they look without any manipulation - unless the image went through a "wet darkroom."
I just got a Nikon D40 with a very nice and fast lens. It's pretty fun. My heart will always be with film either way.
