Having made do with a compact camera for a number of years, I finally invested in an SLR in summer 2008. It was the best decision I've ever made - it's given me a new lease of life and ignited a passion for photography which will stay with me for a long, long time.
I particularly enjoy taking landscape and architecture photos, and visiting new places. I'm originally from Skipton in North Yorkshire, but now live in Cambridge. I work as a newspaper journalist, specialising in education.
