my philosophy on photography

Taking a picture is merely that; capturing a moment in time, saving it indefinitely. Why should it matter what camera is used, or what lens, or what processing technique? The end result is an image as the photographer sees the world. I feel as though I see things in a unique way, and I hope that my photography is an accurate depiction of that.

I shy away from classification. I couldn't call myself a landscape photographer, nor a street photographer, nor a portrait photographer. I see my work as a general portrait of the American landscape: everything I see, everywhere I go in this vast country of ours, catalogued in a photographic album.
