Photography is at once exciting and relaxing to me; another creative outlet. This is something I do for enjoyment and don't pretend for a moment to be any type of professional.

I live in the country about 20 miles east of Pittsburgh, PA. Our property is sandwiched between a 50+ acre Nature Reserve and a 20-acre wooded plot. I get to watch woodpeckers, turkeys, hawks, songbirds, fox and a wide assortment of critters throughout the year.

I'm Maltese on my father's side, born in Detroit where I still have family. I hope to one day have the opportunity to see where my grandparents came from in Malta. In the mean time, I look at photos and read.

I've been teaching ballroom dancing for more than 29 years (that's a frightening thought!), was a wedding dj for several years (retired) and enjoy a multitude of activities. I love to read, sing, knit, sew and dabble in whatever interests me at the moment. I studied Meso-American archaeology & history in college; those topics still interest me as well.
I volunteer at an assisted living residence nearby, doing a music program and chaperoning outings. The most precious gift we can give one another is our time.
I'm currently president of the Westmoreland Conservancy, a land trust in Murrysville, PA. Also, co-editor of their newsletter.
PVPark Volunteer, a group of people coming together in an effort to save a 265+ acre property in Murrysville from being sold off for development is another community movement I've been involved with. I believe that since I don't see new land being created, we need to be responsible for protecting what we have.

I maintain a rather... insane... schedule. There are so many things I want to do that I can't fit things into days/weeks/months. I am thankful for the blessings in my life and it's important to me that I do things that actually matter, either to individuals or to my community.

So now that I've blathered incessantly, please feel free to critique my photos so that I can learn from you! I do ask that comments remain... chaste... as my grandkids like to see the pictures, too.
