The more I take pictures, the more I realize photography is not about reality, but much more about its appearance and the way we see it. For instance: since photography is, literally, "to write with the light", I'm fascinated by the power of light to add meanings to a common and usual scene. There's a kind of dramatic tension, something theatrical in some ways, I keep on trying to capture in my pictures.
Photography is about adding a new sense to reality, instead of the reality itself, which is the same for all of us, and doesn't tell anything more.
Where and when the light hits the scene, this is the place where my eyes must go for, and therefore to my camera.

    TommyOshima says:

"Martino's photostream is an amazing chain of imagination. I see the real sense of Surrealism lives in each of his masterpiece, which I find it as inspiring as the paintings by Giorgio De Chirico or Rene Magritte.
One of the most blessed photographer I have discovered on flickr!!
    Grazie Martino!"
