First and foremost I am a Mom. We have two boys 20 and 8 years of age. One is a junior in college and one is in 2nd grade. I work full time. I am in a quilt group of 12 women. We meet every other Tuesday for the past 17 years in each others homes. I was in a guild of over 200 people but after my last son was born I stopped going. I love that I have found Flickr and started a blog

I turn 50 this year and am grateful to have both of my parents still living. I am an hour away from all my brothers, sister and my Mom. We are a close family with a multitude of personalities. It makes for an interesting life. There are 9 nieces and nephews and "3" great nieces and one great nephew.

My passion is quilting. My Dad has always been a woodworker and has a very elaborate shop. My Mom likes to do ceramics and knitting. My Dad's Mother was the quilter with the church group. My Mom's Mother crocheted afghans.

My second passion is going to antique stores and thrift shops. The thrift shops have hit addiction status. I like the hunt and finding of a good deal!

I like to travel. I studied in Germany for a year and traveled to Berlin before the wall came down. I've been to Europe 6 times in my life and hope to go back often. I have also been to many of the Caribbean Islands, to many cities in Mexico, and Costa Rica. Before I die I would like to visit all 7 continents of the world.
