Hi! I'm a college student and I live on the "little" Caribbean island of Puerto Rico.[pooErTO ReekO] (Little if compared to Cuba, big if compared to the little Antilles) If you're wondering if we have electricity here, well, yes we do! People have actually asked that about Puerto Rico. And no, I'm not studying photography! :(

Anyhow, I've loved photography ever since I can remember. When I was in ninth grade my school was selected to send a group of kids on a 2 1/2 hour trip every week for one semester to take a photojournalism class on the Metropolitan area of the island. The project was in its infant state and the cameras they gave us were 35mm. Of course, now they're giving away amazing point-and-shoot ones! Everyone just took it as a way not to be at school, but for me, it marked the beginning of a non-dying passion.

I wanted to major in photography but the community college to which I was "destined" to go to doesn't have such a wonderful thing as a major. So everything you see in my pictures, or 95% of it, has been completely self-taught with help from the internet, a crash course I took a year ago and I think a 48 credit certificate in film did help a little.

I'm hungry for knowledge and Flickr does a fine job in keeping me full. Watching such great work in here and interacting with fellow amateurs and professionals is such a rush. So feel free to roam my photostream, but always remember that there is much more stuff on my blog and on my Facebook page.
