I joined Flickr some five years ago at the request of a friend. I am so glad I did.
In that time I have changed equipment seven times. I have learned from others and I have gained skills I once only thought about.
Each day I take a look at Flickr and especially at my contacts to see what they have been looking at, thinking about and shooting. It is a bit of a respite for me.
