A girl once asked "What are you photographing?"

I replied, rather flippantly, "form!"

The joke was on me.

Later she asked me "Are you an artist?" I responded "Nay, more a polemicist."

And again the joke was on me.

What is a photograph? A spatial and temporal displacement of a spatial and temporal bounding, expressed as a constellation of light and shadow.
