I'm a Cumbrian but live in Lancaster in northern England and work as a volcanologist. No, there aren't any active volcanoes near Lancaster, so I have to travel to Iceland and other beautiful places :-)
I really enjoy photography, although I'm still a beginner, and hope to get hold of some better lenses soon!
I'm also into cello, guitar playing, green politics, growing things and the mountains...and often spotted in pubs called the Gregson and Britannia 101 in Lancaster, or on the Lakeland fells, or wandering up and down Lancaster canal...
