Deltabus' photostream

I have lived in The Potteries since the family moved to the area in the early 1960s. On arriving, I was immediately attracted to the PMT Daimler Fleetlines with Alexander bodies and became interested in buses. Living close to a railway sidings resulted in an interest in steam locos, though this subsided when BR steam ended. The bus interest continued, though on commencing work and thinking about learning to drive I developed an interest in the Ford Cortina, prompted by my father's Mk I and other Fords in the 60s and mainly by a work colleague's 1600E in the 1970s. Buses took a back seat, until privatised PMT painted everything in a refreshing red & yellow and made me take a fresh look at the standard NBC fayre, which somehow now looked far more interesting. The interest seriously took off again when the then futuristic looking Optare Deltas arrived in the fleet.
Buses and Cortinas have taken up much of my leisure time, but I do have other interests including local history, at one time being active in the local heritage society. Then there's another interest revolving round TV, Radio and music nostalgia. Then there's.... hmm thats enough for now!
