"There's one inhabitant on this planet Earth that l like to visit as often as I can, as with each visit I can never know what I'm going to find, and that's what I like about Richard. He's a provocateur in the best possible way, stimulating and thought provoking both with his images, descriptions and comments. He gets into me, which is what I need.
As a photographer and Artist, his images, visions, both known and unknown please me no end and aside from all that he does a wicked job of Weddings also.
Thank whoever there is life here on Earth after all."14th December, 2009

Jaci Sue says:
"I've never known any artist who can recreate the feeling and mood of my dreams like Richard Baxter can.
He is witty and charming and knows enough to know what he doesn't know. And added to all of those admirable qualities is a devastating talent.
He is a constant inspiration and a true friend."13th December, 2008

AdamBaronPhoto says:
"Richard Baxter is an exceptional artist. I was first captivated by his oil paintings on flickr; his technique with oil is flawless and the surreal themes connect with the viewer on a subconscious level. I find his work no less compelling than the great surrealist masters like Dali and Magritte yet his work is infused with a pop culture modernity that makes it relevant for these times. His digital work is just as exceptional and groundbreaking, dealing with themes such as the relationship between the physical and the metaphysical. One of the few "true" artists on flickr."

Sushanta - adopt me I am the highway says:
"If dreams are words those would be something like "the inhabitants" images, at least a lot of them, the ones I love the most. Here is where the worlds of images, dreams and consciousness are bleeding through wounds of creation into a quiet pool of observation. To reflect in it is to wonder and I feel "the inhabitant" has captured these reflections in a way that is both strange and foreign, yet familiar. Where one is plenty, he has many. In short: wonderful.
I thoroughly enjoy his subjects, titles and descriptions. Combined with the images they sometimes tell a story, often without really telling it, the best kind."20th November, 2007

veronica sweetbuckle says:
"the inhabitant's images remind me of the precious nature of imagination and how to sit comfortable, cross-legged in long stripey socks between fact and fiction. gazing at his photostream i can always experience the ecstacy of rogue maple tree essence travelling a long and slow descent across my chin.
his work changes us, like a dried autumn leaf floats to the earth for regeneration and transformation. moving to the voyages within his vision we board a wooden tugboat and watch the oceans swirl and curl around the cracking, peeling hull. submerged between a deep mystery of sand and shells, whilst upward the puzzling heaven of stars, we peer betwixt at the spaces the inhabitant's imagery places us in. and there is plenty of room on this deck to lie back in your favourite hammock and watch the fireflies undo the light of the moon."3rd October, 2007

"why i'm only the second person to write a testimonial for this guy, is a conundrum. i'm utterly in awe of his genius. there isn't an image in this stream that doesn't make my eyeballs pop into cartoon points and my sleeping synapses jump out of their coma. for my bag o beans, he's the best smorgasbord of visual and verbal wit on flickr. and he's technically astonishing! sweet and savory, indeed."

"Ricardo's work is extraordinarily clever and rich, you can always find a lot of space to interpret his or your own "story" whithin each piece. He brilliantly combines techniques with a perfect domain of light to create amazing worlds full of irony and sharp sense of humour. It's always a pleasure to visit his fresh stream :)"
