A little about myself... as well as a very keen amateur photographer, I also enjoy cycling, country walking, travel, reading, music, solitude and my own company. I've lived, played and worked in the South Hams Devon for 9 years. I'm very passionate about the great outdoors, nature and wildlife, which goes hand in hand with my love of photography. From a very young age I've always enjoyed messing about with cameras.

My first serious camera being an Olympus Trip 35 compact film camera. In the past I've owned quite a few Film SLR`s...Russian Zenit, Cosina, Pentax. I still have my old Minolta along with 2 lenses which inhabit a large dusty box under the bed. I moved on to a Canon 1000fn autofocus Film SLR which I've also hung onto, along with a Canon and Sigma lens. If I ever feel the need to go Retro (film) the kits there ready and waiting! My first Digicam was a Canon Sureshot 3.2 compact (rad pixle count back then!) After many years of snap shots with the Canon, I moved on to the Fuji Bridge Camera 9600 which rekindled my love of Photography.

My current camera is a Nikon D5000. I've enjoyed a couple of years use with the D5000 and feel my camera skills have greatly improved. I now feel a Nikon body upgrade will help take my level of skills a step further. Slowly, the funds for this next purchase are growing.

I've also moved from adobe Elements7, onto Photoshop cs4. My post capture processing has also seen an improvement. Although I've still a hell of a lot to learn about the software.

My aim for 2012 is to get out in the field a lot more. One can read photo` mags, books, and brouse photography related websites, but the surest way to up your game is to get out there and do it!?!
