I'm Madison.

I'm a college student with entirely too much to do and not enough time to do it in.

There are two things that have always fascinated me - people and pictures. When I entered college it seemed only natural to pursue photojournalism as my degree. A junior now, I'm employed by the university I attend and I get to take those pictures all day long.

But I use Flickr to express all the other areas of photography. I love how photojournalism can tell a story, but I also love how a photograph can be art. I've never wanted to have to choose one area over the other, so I use Flickr as my outlet and my excuse.

After failing a 365 project back in July of 2009, I stopped taking pictures on a regular basis and I uploaded only occasionally. I spent a lot of time thinking, taking classes and trying to figure out how to be a student, a girlfriend, a friend, a daughter, a photographer and a general good human being all at once. In short, I spent time maturing.

But now, I'm BACK! I've got that creative itch and I can't wait to take some great photographs! I've always enjoyed self-portraiture so as of January 2011 I am taking on the 52 weeks project!! Wish me luck!
