I discovered photography after I got my first Weimaraner, Scout. I realized what expressive and emotional animals they are. Photography of these dogs then led me to use my skills as a watercolorist to paint those expressions and emotions. Many people have told me that my paintings truely displays the dogs personality. I just paint what I see, the rest all seems to fall into place. I feel that my camera helps me immensely. If I were stranded on an island it would make my top 5 list of things I wouldn't want to be without.
