I got my first DSLR camera (Nikon D50) in September 2008, have now upgraded to a Nikon D200.
Lookiing back at my Photostream I think I've come on leaps and bounds...some of my earlier photo's are just snapshots.
Hoping to progress even further....you think you are taking 'Masterpieces' and then you see other people's photo's on Flickr and realise you have a long way to go.

I don't focus on any particular subject but I seem to have gravitated towards wildlife, Chester Zoo in particular is easy to get to so naturally I take a lot of my photographs there.

I tend to use a lot more post processing now than when I first started ... hadn't even heard of Photoshop when I started ... nothing wrong in enhancing your photo's, the pro's do it all the time.

When I was a child my father ran a photography shop and used to give lectures around the North West of England, our garden shed was his darkroom (remember them?)
I didn't get my DSLR until after he passed away, I so wish I had taken it up while he was still alive, I would have loved his opinion of my photo's

As for my age......let's just say I'm older than my kids !!!!

If anyone wants to blog my pictures or put them on Facebook, Twitter etc then I have no problem with that at all.
As long as nobody is trying to make money out of my pictures then I don't see a problem. (as long as I get credit)

I have trouble understanding why people don't allow it ... if it gets more views for your photostream then what's the problem? That's what is all about isn't it?
I've tried to add some pictures to one of my galleries and they don't allow it ..... what's that all about?
Why put your pictures on Flickr in the first place?

Talking of blogging my pictures, here are some links to great blogs that have very kindly featured my pictures.

    always eat the garnish says:

"Crispin take some great photos on nature, I can’t believe how many good quality photo’s he takes and the places he gets to. When I first added Crispin as a Flickr friend I could not believe how much he got about and always appeared to have his camera with him. From what I can see he likes to get out and about and has captured some great shot, with a portfolio that is growing in both number and quality almost every day."
