I work full time at the UW in Seattle, am also an exhibiting artist (painter) and a tap dancer, plus I volunteer time with the Caledonian and St. Andrew’s Society of Seattle (a Scottish cultural organization) and Hope for Horses (an organization that rescues abused and neglected horses). I love all the arts and world travel (I just returned from a couple of weeks in Turkey). I have one grown-up daughter, Liz, who lives in D.C. with her husband, Mark. At home I am owned by a fat cat, a leopard gecko, and an old gold fish, plus many outdoor squirrels and birds.
