The Spouses' photostream  

I have been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. I started with an old Nikon my dad gave me eons ago and have been a photo hound ever since. Landscapes and nature photography are my passion but if it strikes a cord, I'll stop and take a picture of it. I'm by no means a professional... not even close... I'm just a guy that loves to take pictures.

My lovely wife and I have called Alaska home for many years. We hail from Mississippi and North Carolina (respectively). While we occasionally miss the beaches in NC and the warm weather we can't imagine living anywhere else. I could do without a little less -40 degree temps though, if you have any pull with old man winter. :)

I recently upgraded to a new Canon 40D and love it. Frankly, it's probably a little smarter than its operator, but I'm working on that. I have thoroughly enjoyed the camera and would recommend it to anyone looking to make the switch to a digital SLR.
