Each year a student and faculty exhibitions are installed. Additionally, the Gallery serves as a hands-on training ground and incubator for students hoping to pursue careers in art and arts administration.

Space for New Media, dedicated to African American innovations in art, technology and new media, is currently under construction, to open with programming in 2009.
