Timothy Mobley is a regular contributor to AOL's hyperlocal news Patch.com websites. His column "To the Moon and Back" covers the life of military families in Moon Township, PA. His articles for the Baldwin-Whitehall Patch range from town council meetings to profiles of notable residents.
Mobley is also the author of the Renaissance Mob blog, which explores the science of collective intelligence for the good of society and questions why mob mentality often results in violence instead of productivity. The blog includes book reviews and interviews, as well as opportunities for discussion on various topics.
As the Unit Public Affairs Representative for the Communications Squadron at the 911th Airlift Wing in Pittsburgh, Mobley also contributes to articles for the Wing PA office (formerly a monthly magazine, now a Facebook Page).
Mobley also holds a B.S. in music education and a Master's degree in conducting. With over 20 years of experience in choral and instrumental conducting and performing, Mobley is turning his focus to exploring the intersection of choral music and social activism.
