WELCOME to EMESPHOTO. Here you will be able to acquaint yourself with some of my photography. (Click the "photos" link above and then click on the sets you wish to view.)

For years I have traveled throughout parts of the world shooting for non-profit and humanitarian aid publications. I've also done event coverage in Washington DC, Toronto, Kiev and Upstate New York; shooting political events, equine events, concerts, and various social and business events. My photos have been published in: Appaloosa Journal, John Lyons' The Perfect Horse, The Villager, Operation Mercy etc, CD Album covers, and various websites. (Many of the photos you see here are outtakes or personal photos taken on or between assignments—some of these have been published also.)


Currently I do: Weddings, Event Photography, Location Portraits/Portfolios, Landscapes, Architectural and Equine Photography, in Upstate New York. I also do international assignment photography. I reside in beautiful Canadaigua, NY.

I hope you enjoy my photos. There are many more to come, from all over.

My first camera was a Nikon F2 Photomic. Since then I've had various Nikons, including the FE and Nikonos (for Scuba). In the last few years I've used an F100 for work. Then I went digital with my first digital camera being a Leica (see the RIO set). Now I also have three Nikon digital bodies -- D300, D5000 and D80. Favorite lenses that I own are the Nikon 105mm f2.8G, Nikon 17-55mm f2.8G and the Nikon 10.5mm Fisheye.

My travels have taken me through parts of Asia, Europe, South America, Mexico, Cuba and the Caribbean; most of the US and Canada; and numerous times to Russia and Ukraine (see map above). I have lived in Brazil (Sao Paulo), Canada (Toronto and Vancouver), Jamaica (Spanish Town), and New York State.

I like to take people pictures, exotic locales, and striking moments all over the world. I prefer the photojournalistic style of photography (capturing moments instead of creating moments).

Some of my favorite places include Rio de Janeiro, Jamaica, and Eastern Europe. I still hope to travel to the Middle East, the Far East and Africa.
