I am a retired Librarian and I am really enjoying the extra time and more leisurely lifestyle. I have four grandsons, all living nearby and I love taking pictures of my family and friends, nature, macros and anything else that strikes my fancy.
Since it has been many years since I have taken photos, I am starting again as a newbie, with a digital Olympus SP-510UZ and I am having the time of my life. I have much to learn and many questions, so I hope to learn a lot from others in Flickr.
Since being laid off from my part-time job as a school librarian, I now have more time to take photos and I can now attend events at the local senior's centre. If I can get in, I'd like to go back to university and complete a degree, perhaps in science this time. We'll see! You just never know what life will hand you. I'll keep you posted. Update: I am awaiting my breast cancer surgery, scheduled for September 29th. I was right about never knowing, wasn't I? I expect to be fine, but please be patient for a bit, if I don't comment quite as often as I used to.
End of October: My surgery went off without a hitch and I have been given the all-clear from the doctors. Ladies: GET YOUR MAMMIES GRAMMED!
