'Tread softly and circumspectly in this funambulatory Track and narrow Path of Goodness.'
Sir Thomas Browne
All these photographs (with the exception of 30 from Suffolk) were taken in the County of Norfolk (England).
They were taken using a bog-standard Nikon D40 and, apart from some cropping, framing, straightening and reduction of exposure using Picnik, there was no post-processing involved. (Somebody did show me how to use Photoshop - but I couldn't get the hang of it.)
My original intention was to record only the county’s literary landmarks but as I travelled back and forth other projects started to intrude such as: the old courts and yards of Norwich, deserted villages, coastal erosion, Norwich School Painters, film locations, the Paston Family, Norfolk dialect, Norfolk humour, medieval churches, rivers and the restoration of our VW van etc; I make no apologies for these.
I hope that you find something of interest here. I am happy for any of these photos to be used for non-commercial purposes provided you credit me. For other purposes, please contact me first.

Nick J Stone says:
"A veritable fountain of knowledge about all things literary in Norfolk, a great eye for detail and a wry sense of it all, a nice photo stream to sit by and fish."
