Hi, my name is Jo and I live in sunny Southport . I have dabbled with taking photographs for a few years and then was persuaded to try evening courses and was hooked.


My aim with photography was to be able to confidently photograph friends and family if I was asked, but I lost my nerve for a while and concentrated on landscapes and waterfalls - I struggled with the thought of being judged on the quality of my images - this seems to be something that is shared with many other photographers I have spoken to!!

Earlier this year I decided that I wanted to go back to my first love - taking pictures of people and so have done a couple of courses at the Annabel Williams studio in Staveley in Cumbria and am getting as much practice as possible.

Flickr is a huge inspiration to me and I do lose hours of my life being amazed at the talent of those around me
