Hi!!

I am very new to the whole cake decorating thing, but I have a lot of experince with creative expression! I play numerous instruments, love to cook, and bake. I love to paint. After my younger sister went to culinary school I decided I want to take a stab at baking. It took me a few more years to actually start, so in 2007, for my husbands birthday I decided to try my hand at a sculpted cake. So I dove in head first and made the 'Cooper cake' that you see in my pictures. I LOVE the way it came out. I was so surprised it turned out as well as it did, as I had never carved ANYTHING much less cake. Nor had I ever worked with fondant as anything other than candy clay.

The cooper cake was completed on Sept 29th 2007 and since then I have been making 'sculpted' cakes any chance I get. ( I have a full time day job in the medical field)
