I'm an artist & my artworks are large scale multi - panel installations of text - based drawings utilising the medium of coloured pencil in innovative ways. The content of my artwork focuses primarily on the use of language, in particular, the many paradoxes & incongruities found in popular phrases & sayings. Fonts, & their evocative qualities, are also of major importance in my artistic practice.

Collecting has been an integral part of my life for many years...my very first collection started at around 4 years of age was of price stickers from grocery items, later followed by novelty erasers, Sanrio items, cute Japanese stationery, stickers, charm keyrings, badges, beads, buttons, then vintage and antique art glass.
My glass collection focuses on decorative coloured glassware, such as vases, bowls, paperweights, figurines, & lighting, mostly dating from the late Victorian era, although I also have a variety of glassware from the Art Deco & mid century modern eras.
A major subset of my glass collection are the very surreal & beautiful hand vases...these are a Victorian era invention which feature a disembodied lady's hand holding aloft a cornucopia shaped vase.

Glass Hand Vases
In 2007 I revived my collection of vintage novelty erasers, vintage 70s & 80s pencil cases, vintage Sanrio items, & 1980s Japanese stationery/novelty items such as Bobby & Kate, Green Hills, Triple Yan Yan, Sony Creative Products, Tiny Candy, Three Bigrees, Beautiful Sunday, Citation, & Flomo.
In my opinion the 1980s was the coolest decade in history & I'm dedicated to saving as many 80s things as I can find...if you are an 80s fan too, do let me know - I'm very interested in seeing your collections of 80s nostalgia & collectables, especially in the form of ephemera such as stationery items, magazines, advertising, store catalogues & product packaging.
Other collecting areas of interest include vintage fireworks ephemera such as labels & posters, new kawaii stationery goods by Jetoy, & all kinds of books.
I absolutely love cute, quirky, kitschy stuff, & pretty much anything vintage, retro or antique. Especially if it's pink or has a picture of a cat on it. ❤ =^. .^= ❤
My other interests include reading (I'm a total bookworm), gardening, travel, crafts, home decoration, cooking, fashion, music & surfing the net.
