born in Germany/ small town at the River Rhine, now living in the land of the long white cloud, New Zealand..Aotearoa in the Maori language.

I am an amateur since I was 8 years young when my godmother kindled my passion for photography and gifted me my first box camera from Agfa. I came to recognize my camera as an instrument, perfectly equiped to support memory..which of course can play tricks on us.!
and photography for me is to look twice and a bit longer upon the enviroment I live in..........Life has become such a fast lane existence.

my favorite objects or subjects is nature and landscape. I also like architecture

and when I can, animals..they are great objects but often not cooperative...are they ever!

never the less, I find a lot of solace in tracing them and very happy when successful. and when not there is still satisfaction in having been with nature, surrounded by it.

I am very careful with the need of image edting and prefer not to, though at times I sharpen up older, analoge photos. cropping large pix and adjust brightness and contrast. I use Picasa

I still use my Leica R4..analog

my newest edition:
Canon Powershot SX10 IS
which is a real little cracker and opend up long range objects and super macro.

a very handy..Sony Cyber-shot, as well as my 'old Girl'..but always ready: Panasonic DMC-F7 fitted with Leica Lens.
