Diver and snorkeler who enjoys underwater photography, mainly as an addition to my diving. I log between 50 and 80 dives per year, mainly in south west Ireland, all no-decompression dives, and all on open circuit SCUBA. I live in Cork Ireland. I am an instructor (CMAS Mon 2) with Cork Sub Aqua Club. I also help train the National Maritime College Sub Aqua Club in Ringaskiddy Co Cork, and the Apple Snorkel Club for the approx 2000 employees of the well known electronics firm based on the North-side of Cork City, whose products I use to upload and edit my photos. My old Canon A620, with the Canon underwater housing started giving trouble in 2008, so in 2009 I acquired an old secondhand Nikon D50 SLR with Sea and Sea housing. I rarely use a flash. I photograph wildlife in situ. I use Photoshop or iPhoto to sharpen up some photos.
