"Where do I start with all the thanks I owe to Greenman 2008? He is one of the kindest and most generous people I have met on Flickr. He has been so helpful and encouraging with my "Uncle Joss Ambler's Life In The Movies" set, often donating images to it, both stills of stars Joss worked with, or posters from his movies. He taught me about capturing stills from the movies, which has added such depth to the project. When I first met Joe, I think I had only one or two images of my late Uncle Joss. Now I can have as many as I want! What a gift you have been Joe! It has definitely been a big part of the magic I have discovered in the Flickr community. One of my happiest days was when you were given a "Pro" account, so that we could get to share in even more of the magic you spread around.
Thanks again, from me and my family, for all you have given us!
    Sincerely.....Mando Maniac."

    Stephen B Whatley says:

"The site of Greenman 2008 is a magical wonderland for lovers of the Golden age of cinema; with a particular devotion to the British motion pictures and their stars. Your host is Joe , who has created an eclectic and vibrantly colourful gallery of film posters and publicity stills of stars and players; alongside which he often posts detailed and informative captions, including film reviews- often, interestingly, from the era in which the films were released. Intermingled with his ever-growing film gallery are photographs of some of the contemporary stars and snapshots from Joe's life, both past and present - often with a humorous take. Joe is always appreciative of interest in his collection and always leaves sensitive and perceptive comments on the sites of others; happily including mine. Joe is a gentleman and I am most grateful for his kind and caring friendship.
~Sincerely, Stephen B Whatley, London, UK"

"How did I meet Joseph? He popped in regularly to say very nice things about my film star photos or some digital art I love doing, or even my postcards which I love as well and he even liked one that I didn't care for, so I was happy to give it to him. He is a very down to earth and genuine person and I care about him very much and if he were to leave FLICKR he would be so missed. Long may you stay here and enjoy yourself Joe."
