zabong's photostream |
I try to learn a thing or two about photography and like comments that help me to get better.
My new photo blog is Look For Light on Tumblr.

Gear: Digital since 2004, I now use Nikon DSLRs and mostly prime lenses. Sometimes, film cameras, macro bellows and outdated cheap glass are in the mix. I think that Nikon could learn a bit about good lenses from Olympus.
In my bag: Nikon D700, Nikkors 50mm AF-D f1.4 and 24mm f2.8 ais, 80-200 f2.8 ED, Samyang 85mm f1.4, 2xSB-600. Also a mamiya 645J with 80mm f2.8, a Nikon F3, a Nikon F90, and a Canon Canonet q-III with 40mm f1.7. Oh, and a Canon FTb with 50mm f1.8. There is no such thing as too many cameras.

I am in too many groups already, so please do not invite me to even more.

"Karsten is able to add real gut level emotion to his shots. I particularly like his abstracts. Painterly in feel, they evoke senses of self that are different, I suspect, for each viewer. Thanks, Karsten, for your vision."

Yourmung says:
"It's true that beauty is everywhere and the camera forces our view to it. Zabong has the great ability to make that sentence an axiom, in every piece of art he confront ourselves with the world and his view help us to find beauty hidden in plain sight.
Thanks for that pal."6th July, 2008

"Great Little Camera !!!
People often think expensive equipment is needed in often to capture beauty. The camera is the mind and the film is the heart.
