I am dollmaker from Germany. I moved to the US in 1995. I started making dolls and Waldorf style toys when I had children. I was afraid they would grow up without the same homemade toys that I grew up around. When it comes to toys, there is too much plastic and waste going around. I'd rather give my child one wholesome toy than a mountain of leadinfested plastic...

I would like to promote German crafts and natural toys through my work. My dolls and toys are handmade of wool and natural fibers. Not only are they beautiful - they are also better for our children and our planet. I joined etsy last year and made friends with a wonderful group of fiber artists. You can find some of them in my contacts or on etsy.com. Our street team is called Natural Kids.
