I am an avid amateur photographer, evil robot killer, and general bad ass who has decided to devote more of his free time to photography. I like landscapes, but I have found portraits to be of more interest. The 365 Days project is very energizing.

I use the following:

–Canon 40D
–Canon D400/Digital Rebel XTi
–Canon 85mm f/1.8
–Canon 50mm f/1.8 (the Nifty Fifty)
–Sigma 28mm f/1.8
–Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS AF
–Sigma 70-300 f/4-5.6 Macro
–Canon 430EX
–Ebay remote triggers from magic_trigger (thanks Strobist!)
–Ebay IR Cable release (from here)

I use The Gimp for heavy-duty photo editing, but also ACDSee 9.0 with the photo editor. ACDSee 9 is actually pretty impressive.
