"Nell'osservare le foto naturalistiche di Augusto si percepisce tutto il suo entusiasmo per le manifestazioni della natura e il suo bisogno di scoprire e studiare l'ambiente che lo circonda, alla continua ricerca dell"attimo" e della luce più espressiva. Anche nella foto di ritratto egli cerca sempre di esprimere l'animo del soggetto nell'irripetibilità di un attimo, di una espressione, riuscendo a stabilire un intimo rapporto con il soggetto che viene trasmesso anche a chi osserva il risultato del suo lavoro.
