Hiya, I am a new comer to photography and I am amazed by the versatility of photographic methods, styles and 'voices'. Suffice to say that it can be overwhelming.

As digital photography has revolutionised (or devolutionised) the photograpy, there is a tendency of taking a perfectly focused, colour balanced, well exposed and sharpened pictures. I find myself get bogged down by the technicality of it and feel 'stuck'.

I somehow find myself looking for something which is less 'developed', more risky and more 'organic' way of taking photos. ALAS, film photography seems to be the perfect answer to that.

However, this come down to cost!! Buying, developing, printing and scanning do cost me an arm and a leg. With a busy job, a young family and an eager heart to learn more from photography, I guess I have to make do with my mobile phone camera with an application simulating the film photography and shoot away.

Hence, I agree I am a film faker!

As a poor man, I have to make the most with what I have.

And on odd occassions, when I was feeling generous, the weather was good, the time of the light was right, I may dig out my ebay hunted film camera and lomos to shoot some films. The problem for me is to get the film developed and printed afterwards.

The films somehow get left on the kitchen table for a few days till when I get paid again!

The reason I join flickr is to feel that I can also contribute some of my humble collection of photos to share and learn, plus it is also exciting to get to add friends across the globe to see what the others have been up to with photography.

Who knows, one day I may find my 'voice' and know how to sing in photography in the future!
