I live in a small town suburb north of Chicago. My father introduced me to the world of photography when I was very young. I developed my first roll of 126 black and white film when I was 8 years old in a makeshift darkroom at summer camp in South Milford, IN. I remember walking past a heavy black curtin to get to the darkroom and the utter joy of holding a strip of negatives in my hand. I still fee that joy. I prefer black and white film to digital, but I shoot digital too, often with the lenses from my film cameras. I process my own film and love the results.

Film is not dead and will never die.
