What up people.

I'm a hobbyist photographer based in Penang, Malaysia. My only camera so far is an Olympus E-520 which I procured about 5 months back. Despite some close calls to swap systems (in the form of the geekily seductive Nikon D90 and super-butch E-3), I am very much in love with my current gear (comprising 2 kit lenses and 2 M42 screw mount units) and am reasonably, if not extremely, pleased with the results produced by it. But as any experienced photographer would say: it's not the gear you use: it's the person behind the camera that make the shots. A simple but profound message.

The reason I picked up photography was initially to make better use of my time that was spent bonding my butt to my chair in front of the PC, surfing useless trash on the Internet and playing computer games. But as time passed, and as I met more people who shares the same interest as I do now, I realize that this is a most engaging and healthy hobby that is always rewarding, as long as you put a lot of effort in to it. I have shot a couple of weddings in the company of my friends, and being there to record the happy moments makes owning a DSLR all worth it. I hope I can someday contribute my time and effort for a good cause with my camera, and I'm always looking for an opportunity to learn from my excursions.

My favorite shots are based around still life (toys in particular) and people, but I shoot just about anything or anywhere under the sun. I also love to shoot with classic glass, and find that MF is often more engaging and produce better results (in terms of color and sharpness) than AF lenses. I currently have one Carl Zeiss Jena lens in my collection, and hope to obtain more in the future. A Leica Elmarit or Summilux would be nice, BTW......
