So we're all in this routine. Wake up...dress up...drive up to 8 hours of monotony, furbished by ounces of caffeine & awakened by sensations of office jabbers. When time hits 5, we retreat to the loving arms of home...seclude to "my time alone"...then fall back to often-not-so-deep slumber. Until the next blow of that annoying alarm clock!
Oh but of course, it's not that flat. My daily grind, for example...my so-called life, has its share of mini-sparks...stuff that takes the bore out of (free)dom ;P
Long drives (and a bagful of wake-me-up junk food, hehe!)...taking photos of any objects of interest (thank heavens no more expensive films, sorry Kodak!)...communing with nature and just feeling the wind in your face...gastronomic treats of good wine & pasta...dimmed lights & soulful music...pajama & dvd on rainy weekends...intentionally losing the game so my son continues to feel he's the Wii-eeeh (!) master...lots of hugs & kisses from people you love. And the list goes on.....
Then there's my toys, the reason why I'm in Flickr ;P I've fallen head over heels with miniatures and other toy collectibles. As for the financial investment equivalent, yeah, it's like I fell head first!
And now I'm starting to organize (read: take over!) my mom's old milk glass wares.
But the best spark of all is my non-plastic, non-vinyl, non-glass inspiration. The one that perks me up on tough days...the one that's starting to ask me science & math questions that I feel the need to hit the library again (pressure!)...the one that hugs & kisses the most he's starting to greet me "XOXO", yikes...the one who's given me a large chunk of the toy money so mommy can grow her toy collection. My mini-Spunk!
You, how do you grind in the dance of life? ;P
Here in sometimes-not-so-sunny California.
