UncoveringWestport's photostream

Uncovering Westport is the project of two graduate students in Brown University's Public Humanities program. Uncovering Westport is an experimental framework developed using various free and open-source software as a prototype for how small cultural heritage organizations (history museums, historical societies, etc.) might build audiences with engaging digital initiatives. One aspect of this project is using Flickr to share images and collect memories and descriptions from the Westport community.

We have worked with the Westport (Massachusetts) Historical Society (www.westporthistory.com) to access, digitize, and upload maps, photos, and other historical documents.
