"Momentary Laps of Vision is a gifted water-maniac who lives, at times, for his camera and that's what sets him apart from many other talented photographers. He takes us to unordinary places such as the Ghalishooyan mournings and masterly utilizes his technique to re-create the motion. His technique isn't his only asset. His choice of subjects in the remote Sistan-Baluchestan, where literally nothing is taking place, shows his ingenuity and great vision.
He has a passion for life and is in love with people, the very ordinary ones we all pass by in the streets everyday. His Baluchestan Set portrays a unique and unseen image of the people of an impoverished province located South East of Iran, just across the border from Afghanistan. Whether he portrays the innocent children of Zahedan, a distressed veiled Baluch lady, or the divine comfort of an elderly Baluch man, he adds liveliness, perspective, and a dynamic touch to his capture. The set is a brilliant story of everyday life of bored people seen by and told through the eyes of a philanthropic photographer.
We've all seen his other passion through his lens: the passion for nature. Well, you know, When one packs for climbing Alam Kuh elevated at 4850 metres, or goes on 12-hour-a-day hikes, he'd never pack a heavy camera which is not vital for his survival. To Farhad, his camera is a survival tool and I am glad that is so, because I very much enjoy his captures of his hiking/climbing trips. Keep it up, aziz-e del!"4th July, 2007

"Farhad has an eye for capturing the moment, whether of a mountain, a lake, a wall, a portrait, a street scene or any of a number of subjects. In his vision we find both his spiritual sense of and outlook on life. Farhad's work first caught my attention with his amazing photograph of Mount Damavand with a horse in the foreground. I've since been a huge fan of his photography work, for his technical expertise, artistic vision and very friendly and open demeanor. All the best and keep up the great work! ---Mike"

"MLoV provides such an amazing window into a world we see so little of. His images capture the powerful essence of his amazing homeland. His portraits give a beautiful view of life and people and put a human face on a place that is unfortunately misrepresented in the western media.... Thankyou MLoV for giving us the opportunity to brush aside politically driven distortion and see reality. For me what you do is crucially important. Thankyou."
