Hi and thanks for visiting my Flickr page.
I've discovered my main love with photography is 'freezing the moment'. Whether it be sports, dogs running around, birds in flight, water drops, etc, etc, the ability to capture that one special moment drives me.
I've been fortunate enough to have been taken on by a friend who is a professional Sports Photographer and he has taught me a huge amount over the past 2 years. The only down side to having a 'mentor' is that I spend a lot of time working for him and not much time Flickring!
I'm planning on adding a lot more of the sports photos soon and will keep apologising to my long time Flickr friends for the lack of contact over the last year. At the moment I'm shooting my son's Soccer matches every weekend, local Australian Football every Saturday, local netball when time permits and State league basketball.
As well as 'freezing the moment' the other passion is for landscape photos, especially when clouds are involved! Is it unusual to have a fetish for clouds? Especially fluffy white ones?!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy my stream. Any comments welcome, especially constructive criticism; after all, I'm here to learn!

Don't let his self deprecation and offbeat humour fool you, David has some serious photographic skills. He is also a very versatile photographer as you will notice he shoots wildlife, macro, landcape and whatever else his unbalanced mind thinks up. ;)
You can never be as cool as David unless you are a member of the rock group "winger" or perhaps "great white". Even then, superior coolness is not assured (I am looking at you, bass player guy). Still, he doesn't lord it over you and although I remain bitter, I put that bitterness in a box in my mind and push it down so it doesn't come out. yet.
Seriously, I am a big fan of his photography and wit., David is someone who will genuinely spend some time and look at your photographs and provide feedback based on his unique personality and worldview. I am always curious to see what he puts up next and what ideas I can steal.
Everyone has stopped reading now except David as he reviews this in deciding whether or not to allow this to be posted. Given that, I would like to plant a song in his head to compensate for the stupid catchy songs he plants in mine.
