I grew up with a darkroom in my parents' basement and a father who was always taking photos and encouraging me to do the same. He gave me a Pentax Spotmatic at a young age which I still have and still (albeit rarely) use. The best advice he gave me was "There are amazing photographs in everything you see, you just have to find them."
