I am new to phtography and just love it. My husband gave me a Canon Rebel XSI for Christmas (2008) and I have been obsessed with learning everything I can since then. The birds in my yard almost recognize me by now! My gas bill is sky high from raising the kitchen window during the winter to take shots of the bird feeding activity. My children run from me LOL! I have even gotten my precious grandsons interested. .

Unfortunately, I have not mastered much of the technical stuff about cameras like lens info, etc. I am so appreciative of all the help the wonderful Flickr family has given me. What an incredible community of people! I still learn from every wonderful contact who is kind enough to share information with me.

Please do not copy or use any of my photos without my permission. I would be very upset :<(!!

PS An update after almost a year-- I love, love , love it. Got new 70-300 lens for my birthday and am having a ball. Still learning every single day.

Another update as of 8/10/10 I have unfortunately deleted many of my contacts as I don't have time for a one way relationship. I prefer to spend my time on contacts who respond in kind. So sorry if I have deleted someone in error.

Guess it's time for an update by now. As of 1/11/11 I have been fortunate enough to get a gift of a Canon EOS 7D for my birthday in Oct. 2010 and then was totally surprised by a Christmas present of a Sigma 120-400MM lens for Christmas. I think my husband must think I don't have much time left on this Earth and wants to make the time count!!!! :>) I am still learning how to use both presents and continue to have a ball.

I am sorry to say that I am close to my limit with new contacts as a lot of my time is now taken with admin duties and babysitting 4 rambunctious grandsons at various times. I don't feel it is fair to be a contact when I can't give my time to truly enjoying their photos. I do hope you understand. As I delete contacts at various points, I will add new ones at that time. Many thanks for your comments, views and wonderful help along the way.

I so enjoy being an admin of several groups, but it makes my time very precious. Please don't be offended if I don't give long comments on your beautiful photos. I would love to and hope that you know that I appreciate and admire all of them!

10/03/2011 update
I so enjoy all my Flickr friends and groups and thank you all for your sweet comments and invitations. Due to lack of time, I no longer post any photos to groups that require 5 comments and seriously consider those requiring 4. It's simply a matter of managing my time and being fair to my contacts and the wonderful groups in which I am an administrator.
