I am a serious amature photogrpher from Altoona, IA. My shooting interests are mostly nature, plants and animals, flower macros. I also enjoy street photography and and anything that catches my eye that my be worthy of a photo to remember it by. I really dont care what kind of camera I shoot with as long as it does a great job, or is just alot of fun to shoot.
I used to shoot with a heavy Nikon D200 but traded it in for a new Canon G9 a few days ago, it does everything the D200 plus alot more, and its so much easier to carry. If I do decide to get another DSLR it will be the Canon 5D, but I dont see any reason to buy another DSLR since I have the G9...although a big SLR sure makes ya' look cool, lol. I just dont care as long I have a good camera that produces good photos...although that mostly depends on the person behind the camera, Im confident in my ability to shoot a good photo so I want a good camera to capture what I want.

I spend most of my in the woods with my camera, I love walking through the woods listening to sounds of the birds and the wind through the trees. Im always looking down, because thats where all the flowers are, and where there flowers there are bees and other small insects to photograph, snails, snakes, mushrooms, tiny flowers, butterflies, spiders and other creepy things. I love to have other people along at times, if you ever plan on coming through Altoona and want to go photograph some nature let me know and we can go to one of my favorite places for photography.
