One of my earliest memories was of fingerpainting on cloth with my very bohemian (for Meridian, Mississippi in 1962!)preschool teacher, Miss Sadie. She later took that fabric and made it into a dress which she wore proudly and often. I guess you could say that Miss Sadie was my greatest creative influence. What do you do, after attending a "kindergartin" that incorporates riding bareback , jumping on trampolines, and swimming in a creek wearing only panties into its daily schedule? You become an artist and a teacher. And I did!

"Alberta's art is whimsical, spiritual, colorful and fun. It always makes me smile. I have admired her talent from the moment I layed eyes on it. So much thought is put into everything she does, not only in her art, but in her life. We share so many of the same intrests and she has no idea what an inspiration she is to me everyday, and an amazing BFFF friend!"
