Thudbox is a percussion group from Cambridge, Blighty. We didn't have a name to begin with so we just called ourselves Beatsworkin'. When the fridge magnets spoke to us at Andy's house in 2007, we became Thudbox.

Quite a lot of the photographs here were taken by Stu Swift, Tod Baker and Jay Williams. We are indebted to them; they have our Thudthanks.

Our first live performance ever was in the heats of the Cambridge Band Competion 2008. At the grand final at the Corn Exchange we so easily won the audience vote and a crate of beer - but the smelly judges were biased towards conventional guitar combos. Cambridge News described us as the missing link between samba and drum n bass. Nice.

Since then there have been two births (hooray for Carl and Rey); and Kim, Kate and Jennie have buggered off to Barcelona, Cork and Kenya, respectively. Luke and Tiago have joined, Tiago is Brazillian so we feel proper authentic now. Emma is on a world tour and will return sometime.

We've played the Secret Garden Party and Strawberry Fair in 2008 and 2009. We would have played Strawberry Fair in 2010 too but it got cancelled. Shame. We've also done Grassroots, Psytrance, a bunch of May Balls in Cambridge and loads of other gigs around East Anglia.
