I take photographs to document the wonder I feel when I interact with my world. Sometimes I get into a rut with the dailiness of life and looking back through my photos helps me remember that I stopped to look closer at that leaf, or sat in the freezing cold for two hours to get that bird picture, or had a delicious breakfast with my family.

My favorite places to photograph are the Fort Collins Natural Areas and my favorite subjects there are plants and birds. I love birding and am compiling a life list of the birds I've seen (Visit my website to see my list if you like). I also love to photograph the dogs in my life, whether mine, my family's, or one of the ten dogs I regularly care for.

I use two cameras. The first, a Canon Powershot S5 IS is the one I use when I go hiking or when I'm shooting bird pics because I have a fantastic telephoto lens for it. The other one I have is a Panasonic DMC-LX3. I use the Panasonic for around town, people and animals, and macro work.

I am back in school after a ten year hiatus and I am working on degrees in history, anthropology and museum studies. I also work in the most wonderful local yarn shop selling fiber and teaching classes.

I am happy here in this life of mine and I hope my photographs bring small moments of happiness to yours.
